Arizona and New Mexico

After Nevada Arizona Sure Looks Beautiful!

Hanging out at Uncle Tom's Cabin in Tempe, Arizona with Young Mothers, Sweet the Sound, Dan Dan Noodles, Some Magic animal and Shane Hunt February 5th

American the Beautiful. The roommates at Uncle Tom's made sure the show was a festive occasion with this lovely American Flag cake and what they called Beaver Pops (of the popsicle variety).

Great hair, great songs what can I say.
This guy really gets into it! We we so psyched when we got a free cd for the road! Also he took us to Harlo's for blueberry pancakes in the morning.

A Claire Slattery and her sticker campaign both rock!

The three member of this band play a game of "musical instruments" much like "musical chairs" where they trade off playing the bass, clarinet, guitar, and ukulele.

Willy J and the Storytellers playing at Winning Coffee. Which if you are wondering serves the best coffee I have ever tasted! Willy J looked a lot like Bono for this performance with his vintage scooter googles.

California

Joe and Normandie at the avenue of the giants

"whoa"

This much higher up than it looks! Be careful Joe

We are inside a tree can you believe. This is bigger than some of your apartments!

Our van couldn't fit through the drive through tree so we just took a picture next to this car.

TaDah! It's the jazz hand gang

February 1st at Fox and Goose Pub. Songs pirate-style in Sacramento! Alright!

This is the hoover dam

hey yo homies

Just got to New Mexico and we are living it up @ this awesome house with two really nice friends. Thanks to Ashley's fam for the hook up. Lola got to run and romp around in AK @ the house show we played last night. They had a great big fenced yard. The last few shows have been good. We are playing with some talented musicians. Las Vegas was so fun we thought we didnt have a show cause it got canceled, But chris pulled through and got us another show at bunkhouse. It was so great the bands all rocked and the people where really respectful. Look for more pics from us, we got some of hoover dam and the lake and so plants along the way. We are off to bed so good night all.

yooooooooooo in portland

Joe:Hey guys and gals whats up? we just left seattle and have a show tonight @ the ella street social club.
Lola our dog has had some trouble adapting to the road travel this time. But, we just got her some of her favorite chow. Lola chowed down and seems much happier. We also took her on the riverwalk and she got to the Dog park in Seattle. She's getting used to pooping on pavement TMI but still.

Ashley: Portland...first impressions: Seems like a really neat place. Lots of vagrants though. I think I've seem more homeless kids with guitars in two blocks than I have seen in my whole life. We tried Voodoo Doughnuts! I have never had a vegan doughnut. I think it was maple flavored. Voodoo has a huge display of doughnuts with all kinds of crazy toppings and shapes. Tonight we are having Lebanese food with my aunt and her son. That will also be a first for me. Better do good at tonights show, otherwise I might have to fight for a spot next to the MAX! Just kidding, but we were hoping for a better turnout at the last few shows.

Hot Cocoa Tour

On the Road Again!

Thurs. Jan. 19
I can't believe we have already done three shows.  Highlights from the Zoo Bar Lincoln show included #1 Birthday Cake and #2 a stellar preformance by Floating Opera. Their new vocalist is quite good. Reminds me of Rent the musical for some reason.

Fri. Jan. 20
We had a great time at the Side Door Lounge as well. We have so much fun with those guys Wednesdays.

Sat. Jan 21
I spent most of my Birthday shot gun in the Mark III. I think we made it to Denver in about 6 hours. We had a vegan spagetti dinner with new friends from Shaky Molars. Joe discovered a new love for portabella mushrooms. I took 4 Benadryll and hung out in the van after my face started puffing up due to cat allergies.We had a lovely walk around the neighborhood and Lola was barked at by a neighborhood drunk. The show was fantastic! The local acts were awesome, even though I only caught a little bit of Abi Robbins. We had so much fun with the group of folks there that were more than willing to sing and dance along. We also got put up by a some great guys from Boulder, where we are playing tonight!

Sun. Jan 22

Woke up really early :( Lola hasn't quite adjust to her new pee schedule. On the bright side, Boulder has some beautiful Mountain views and a nice bike path. They also name their business some comical names such as: The Mattress Firm (tee hee) and the Tossa Pizza (that was funny). After an excursion we came back and got a few more zzzz's. We also made a trip to Sunflower natural foods and had a delicious meal of egg and spinach pitas. Excited for the show tonight and possibly some hiking.
